This course studies the detailed microscopic architecture of cells, tissues and organs. Basic tissue
types are studied first followed by detailed description of the microscopic appearance of the organ systems.
Tissue fixation and preparation as well as staining techniques are discussed. This course prepares students that
will pursue a medical or dental degree as it is fundamental for Pathology courses taught in these graduate
programs. It is designed for Biology majors. 3 lecture hours and one 2.5 hour laboratory session weekly.
