Students in the Management major learn how to innovate and manage in all business domains from large corporations to small family-owned operations to non-for-profit organizations to small start-up companies.

You’ll learn how to think strategically and critically, make crucial decisions, lead staff members, and operate with a high degree of organization that enhances your team’s performance. By taking courses in marketing, micro- and macroeconomics, business ethics and law, organizational behavior, leadership strategy, and more, you’ll quickly become aware of the many ways to best manage in a wide range of settings.

Program Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this program, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate content mastery in the functional areas of our business core (accounting. economics. management, quantitative business analysis, finance, marketing, legal and social environment, information systems, and international issues)
  • Demonstrate the School of Business core competencies (critical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, ethical decision making, teamwork, personal accountability, effective communication)
  • Evaluate the management related challenges and opportunities of business practices

Degree Requirements

Candidates for the Associate in Arts, Business Concentration and Bachelor of Sciences degrees in Business must:

  1. satisfy all entrance requirements (Formal acceptance into the Business major, usually in the sophomore year, requires a 2.500 cumulative GPA.)
  2. satisfy the specific requirement in a major or concentration.
  3. fulfill a residence requirement of the last 30 credit-hours at Felician University.
  4. maintain an average GPA of 2.500 throughout the program.
  5. earn a minimum grade of “C” in all courses in the major.

Admission

Acceptance into this selective program is automatic for students however it is contingent upon those who demonstrate academic excellence by achieving one of the following:

  • Maintaining a 3.0 GPA during their first three years at Felician University
  • Good academic standing
  • Scoring in the top 10% of their class in the ETS Major Field Test in business
    • As a final step, you must apply to the program your final year

 

Program length:  60 months (based on full-time enrollment)
