This course is designed to introduce and reinforce necessary strategies for general and special student
populations and to promote student achievement as a basis for planning instruction as well as document student
proficiencies in reading. This course explores informal and formal assessment procedures used for diagnostic
purposes and instructional strategies that reinforce strengths and address remediation for reading and
comprehension deficiencies.
