In this course, students will navigate the stages of the research process. By recognizing a “need to know”, they will discover knowledge begins with inquiry. Students will learn to effectively locate and critically evaluate information sources. They will understand the economic, legal, and social dimensions of information to use it ethically, legally, and with integrity. When students leave this course, they will be able to ask the right questions, develop research strategies to satisfy their need for information and properly utilize the information they find.
