Felician’s Shared Model-Academic Advising Center

  • First-Year Advising: Every first-year student is assigned an Academic Advisor who remains with the student through sophomore year.  The advisors provide individualized support, guidance, mentoring and success coaching.  Individual advising sessions are scheduled early in the semester with frequent check-ins throughout the year to ensure the best possible educational experience at Felician.
  • Advisors assist the student to adjust to University life, understand University policies and procedures, go over curriculum requirements, make well-informed academic decisions, access appropriate campus resources, select relevant courses, clarify academic and career goals, and develop a personal growth-mindset for success.
  • Upon completion of 60 credits, students transition to a faculty advisor in their major area of study and remain with this advisor to degree attainment.
