This course is designed to provide an overview of the issues and topic relevant to the study of
victims. It will include theoretical, empirical, and legal information on the relationship between victims,
offenders and the criminal justice system. The emotional effects of crime will also be examined in detail as well
as specific types of victimization including: Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, Child Abuse and School
Violence. (every spring, or as needed)
