Painting and Drawing Minor

The Minor is designed for students who are not majoring in Art, but want to take Art classes to complement their studies. Students wishing to Minor in Painting and Drawing need to complete 18 credits in Art as follows:

Required (15 credits)

  • ART-101 Basic Drawing
  • ART-272 Painting I
  • ART-280 Advanced Drawing
  • ART-331 Painting II
  • ART-281 Life Drawing or ART-333 Watercolor

After completing the above five courses, students enroll in the following required capstone course:

  • ART-301 Junior Seminar

Consultation with an Art faculty advisor is recommended.
